Curtiss
Korn is in his third year with the Hawks. An experienced youth hockey
player, Korn will contribute to the Hawks blueline. During the season,
he was named as one of the teams assistant captains. In his first varsity game on December 1, 2008, in a game against Dumont High School in Pershing Field, Korn notched his first varsity point when he assisted on a Chris Peterson's goal. Korn suffered a concussion against Dumont on December 14 in the Ice House in Hackensack and was sidlined for 12 games. His first game back was on January 23, 2009 against Newark East Side in the Prudential Center in Newark. In his sophomore year, Korn scored his first varsity goal at Chill-Out rink against Newton - Lenape Valley. He also had an assist in the game. In his junior year, Korn scored a career high four goals in one game on February 7, 2011 in a win against Passaic Valley High School at the Charlie Heger Rink in Pershing Field. His five points in the game was also a craeer high. Korn started skating at age three at clinics at Pershing Field. He then played with the Jersey City Capital's mite teams. Korn then played on the Capital's Squirt B team with Chris Peterson. Korn's first travel team was the Bayonne Rangers Squirt B again with Peterson. After a year at Bayonne, Korn returned to the Capitals for two years at Pee-wee B. Two years ago year, Korn moved to the Cranford hockey program and joined their Bantam B team. Last year he was back with Cranford on their A team and this year played for the Midget 16-U A team. At Hudson Catholic, Korn is a member of the Technology Club.
